Hayley Frey, Psy.D. joined Lotus Consulting with extensive clinical, administrative and program development experiences in the field of eating and body image issues, integrative medicine and focal areas such as smoking cessation, diabetes management as well as loss and grief, depression, anxiety and other mental health concerns.  She has worked in a variety of settings ranging from college counseling (Tribeca College Counseling Center) to eating disorder treatment centers (i.e. The Emily Program) to medical settings (i.e. University of Chicago Medical Center, MSU), working side by side with physicians, nurses, other mental health providers, assisting with medical resident development, patient evaluation and treatment. 

Hayley is passionate about working with clients across personal and professional backgrounds and intersecting identities.  She has extensive training and experience in individual and group therapy across clinical modalities, ranging from feminist psychodynamic psychotherapy to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT),CBT-E (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for eating issues) to Motivational Interviewing (MI). 

Her research and presentations include Postpartum depression and related disorders, Eating disorders: What to look for in primary care, Vicarious trauma and helping professionals as well as her dissertation at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology - Female opera singers and body image.
